Sorry about the hiatus folks... The quick weather change and multiple headaches that have descended upon us once again have sent me into a bit of a funk. I've managed to get a couple of those monkeys off my back and I'm ready to come out fighting. Jeff and his crew have been out in the elements cleaning up the last of the fall debris, and he managed to put down the last application to put the greens to bed for the winter. This sounds easy and/or normal...but not so... Timing is everything... one thing goes wrong...equipment break down, weather change, etc...Not good!!!
But as usual our Man Jeff came through and got the job done. You are the BOMB my friend!!
Speaking of friends....our best buddy Jake has been having a hard time.
I've tried to keep this blog upbeat and positive, but I'm sure you would want to know the truth about what is going on. Although our Jaker/Baker is ailing, Jeff and I have found a combination of medications to not only keep him out of pain, but to keep him happy too. He still sits under #1 tee box, and under the crimson horse chestnut tree playing with his toys while barking at the passing geese. After that, its time for leftovers from Mama...."steak please"
Rock on Jake!!!!!
Aside from that, the snow is falling and it's time for me to start my winter time paper work, coupled with the annual cleaning up of the club house, while Jeff is down the shop doing his winter chores.
A girls/Jeffs work is never done.....OY!
Don't forget the 19th hole is still open.
Happy Turkey Day........
