GLOBAL WARMING MY BUTT!!!

Is the sun ever going to shine? What do you think? The course is in such good shape, but only a few people have been playing. Don't believe the weather people! We have had good days here, when they were calling for rain all day. Come on out!
My next venture is this coming Monday, April 16th. For the second year Quaker Steak and lube on canal road in valley view is hosting a golf show. WKNR is sponsoring it, and will be broadcasting live from the show.
Different golf course's set up booths to promote their course. I went last year with Wally and we had a blast. I get a booth, a bucket of chicken wings, and free beer. What else could I ask for? (don't answer that!) They raffle off prizes through out the show for the people who attend. Golf gift certificates, golf balls, and whatever else gets donated. It is from 6pm to 9 pm. Stop by and say hello if you get a chance.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Do you believe this? I go to Stanc's for a couple of michelob's go home and to bed and wake up to this!!!! I guess I should cancel getting the roof fixed today. Golfing in 80 degree weather on Tuesday, and shoveling snow on Friday. Only in Cleveland! or Buffalo!(hope you get through to Cleve safely K.K.) I wonder what it would take to get the grounds crew for the Tribe to come over here and remove the snow?
If they can play ball today, why can't we golf ? We should be sitting in the clubhouse having cocktails and watching Tiger win the Master's! (or Phil)
Post your opinion!! Have a happy Easter everyone, enjoy the Master's, and think warm thoughts! Blog me!

CHILI OPEN NOT SO CHILLY

Hi everyone. Well we got the Chili open in on Sunday. I did my no rain dance, and held the rain back. The temp was a little warm for a Chili open, but I don't think anyone minded. The sun came out in the afternoon, which prompted PA John to start a bud open. 16 played.
We had 32 for the Chili Scramble. We had 6 entries for the chili contest.
Thank's to everyone who made chili. Jeff Krikwood was trying to defend his title this year, but missed by one vote. Sorry Jeff. PA John got first place chili(even though Marlene cooked it)chili #4, and Second place chili went to Don Foutz chili #3. I hope everyone had a good time!
Today and Tuesday look great for golf, but by Wed it looks like everything hit's the fan!! Oh well, April in Cleveland! Have a great day everyone!!

Spring has Sprung!!!

Good afternoon. The weather is starting to break (finally!)and we are here cleaning up the course getting ready for a great new season at
St. Bernard G.C.. We have had numerous malfunctions in the club house all winter, but one by one we are getting them fixed. I had the good fortune to take a vacation this winter. I was able to go to Hawaii and visit and stay with my friend Jody. I went with my good friend Andrea and had a girls vacation. We had a blast!!! The only bad part was I did not get to golf. Oh well. I will be getting out here soon and try to get to cob webs off my game. Jeff is out working hard (as usual) getting the course in shape. The first event is coming up Sunday April 1st. The Chili Open. Hope you all can play!!! Linda will be making her famous chili, and members are bringing in their favorite chili recipes for everyone to sample and judge the best.
Hope to see you soon!!!!
